RASANBLEMAN Visual Album
“Rasanbleman” is a visual album and feature documentary that captures the most celebrated Haitian artists coming together from different parts of the world to create a music album first of its kind for Haitian music artist Paul Beaubrun, the son of Grammy Nominated Rasin music group Boukman Eksperyans. Filmed and recorded at the Artists Institute Haiti in Jacmel, a beach city on the southern coast, this historic multigenerational union is a representation of their deep admiration for Haiti and for each other, and their unified vision through music, art, and culture.
Consisting of 30 musicians featuring in 10 music performancesthat blend together elements of Rasin, Vodou, Jazz, Roots/Blues, Rap, Reggae, and Electronic Music with traditional Vodou drums and rhythms, paired with intimate behind the scenes story interstitials, “Rasanbleman” paints a colorful picture of Haitian culture and captures this rare moment in time under the red moon.
“Rasanbleman”, translates from Haitian Creole to English as "a large gathering". Its meaning is not just any large gathering, but a gathering for a purpose
