Bio

Tamara Sangdow
is a Thai-American Director and Creative Director based between New York and Bangkok.

Her passion for storytelling first started age 11, borrowing her mother’s cameras to capture the world around her capturing life through images and emotions. Combined with her background in music, this laid the foundation for her storytelling approach rooted in rhythm, visual identity, and emotion.

After moving to New York and studying at the Fashion Institute of Technology, Tamara honed her creative voice through roles at Vice Media and Condé Nast, where she served as a Creative Director overseeing branded projects for publications such as Pitchfork, GQ, Vogue, Teen Vogue, The New Yorker, WIRED, and Them.

Her directorial work spans narrative films, documentaries, commercial, music videos, fashion, and concert films. She has directed campaigns for brands including Singapore Tourism, Häagen-Dazs, Glossier, MGM Hotels, and SK-II. In 2023, she developed her short film Echoes of the Night at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival.
